I am not one who usually gloats over someone elses mis-fortune, but,

It seems that these wit-less men seem to think they are above the law.  They attack and beat a gay man, for being gay, and then feel they have a right to be free? WTF?

Georgetown Gay Bashers Beg Judge to Release Them

Two men arrested for attacking two Georgetown University students in an anti-gay hate crime last weekend begged a judge to release them in a court appearance yesterday, FOX DC reports:

Georgetown“Prosecutors say 19-year-old Saad Elorch and 19-year-old Abdulgader Ruddad targeted and taunted their victims, then assaulted one of them because they are gay. In court on Wednesday, Elorch, the alleged ring leader, jumped up and begged the judge to let him go. But the judge in the case denied his request. After the hearing, the parents of one of the men charged in the attack ran from cameras without saying anything to the media. Both Elorch and Ruddad were denied bond by the judge in the case…Both Elorch and Ruddad have prior convictions on charges like drug possession and assault. Elorch was on probation in Virginia at the time of the incident. The two men are also now wanted by ICE and the U.S. Marshall Service for deportation, but that will wait until the outcome of the current proceedings. Elorch and Ruddad will be back in court on November 12.”

The students were attacked on the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal path after being asked if they were gay, and then, after replying ‘yes,’ being told by their attackers that they would be stoned to death in their home country.

I honestly feel that anyone, who comes here from another country should be branded as having commited a hate crime, and sent back to their country of origin. For example: you bash a women, you get the female “symbol” tattooed on your face.  You beat a gay man, you get the rainbow flag tattooed on the back of your hand. Some thing to let these a-holes know that there are consequences for misbehaving here.

Anyway, as usually kiddies, comment, curse me out, what ever. Just comment.

Xochial:

As usual, I read – and re-read – your post before commenting.

While I agree with the ideal of a criminal act having consequences that fit the crime, I must say that we live in a time of opportunity. Why, just the other day, I had the opportunity to admit to my lovely son and my fabulous housemate that I recognized my own feelings and thoughts to be racist. How can we not find ourselves sometimes categorizing individuals who outwardly look similar as being the “same”. And if being the same also carries with it negative expereinces, we will – by human nature – associate that sameness to be negative.

The truth be told, we are all human – and – individual! I do not wish to be judged simply on my name (Take Obama for instance) or the color of my skin – or the pattern of my skirt for that matter…

I wish to be judged on the merit of my actions.

These men behaved badly and acted with agression toward another human being. It matters not to me if they kicked over a fabulous mushroom growing in the wild because of some deep-seeded hatred towards fungus or if they committed murder.

The punishment should match the crime.

I wish I could say that we live in a society that universally accepts and supports homosexuality (or any different sexual orientation than their own). I cannot.

What I can say is that I encourage every reader and listener on this site to take a stand!

I have included plenty-o-disclaimer on and about the site. That said, if you are an outsider – FUCK OFF and no longer visit here.

If you are a supporter of the messaging we send on a regular basis… Then help us procure the change that needs to happen to make this world (and your own neighborhoods) a safer place for all.

Time to put this tired carcass to bed!
