It’s time to end the use of gay slurs in hockey – USATODAY.com.

Hey kiddies,

After reading this column, I was almost brought to tears.

Here is a heterosexual, ex-hockey player turned journalist calling for things like the end of DODT, and acceptance of gay marriage.

It almost makes me want to re-kindle the flame of hope that I let die a couple years back. The hope that some day, GLBT people will be thought of people, rather than as “those” people. That we wont have to use the nomenclature GLBT anymore. That one day sexual orientation will no longer cause people to wonder what goes on “their” bedroom.

I suggest to all of you that click the link at the top and read this well thought out and written column.
